India in 1835

Lord Macaulay wrote this letter to the British parliament in 1835.  I don't know the authenticity of this letter but we all know that once our country was known as  "The Golden Bird"  and this reason is enough for me to post this letter of Lord Macaulay.

Things got changed within a timeperiod of 175 years, time has come that we start the Second Freedom Movement, freedom fight from the shackles of evils. A fight  for humanity, prosperity and peace.

History of civilised Bharat is from 10000 yrs back either Ramayana or Mahamharata yug .I donnt know which was earlier.See peace, prosperity, humanity are related to satisfaction.A peon may be satisfied with his salaries & CMD of Best MNC may not be.So quality education matters which was prevailing at time of Ramayana & Mahabharata not at time when East India came Otherwise business would have been on equal sheering basis & may be on longer & longer terms. So tell me whom to blame. For me education is prority as thought & achived by my mother for her childern as herself was uneducated & feels the pains for same.Sir athetics come from education not by gossip.Dr.Manmohan Sigh s career graph is example here in INDIA.Thanx

Though this quote has become popular among nationalists, please note that most actual historians do not believe it.

I am an Indian? Are You?
When someone says ...' I am an Indian' does he/she really know what it means. Being Indian means being honest, disciplined, peace loving, clean and family oriented. A few centuries back it used to be like this but as we are progressing we have been steadily losing these values. Ok agreed, differentiation based on caste, creed and religion were among a few evils in the past. Gradually we are moving towards a better tomorrow by trying to override such beliefs.

But if we as Indians truly want to build up India as the No 1 country in the world then we need to practise a few philosophies and principles which can lead us there.

# First, our goal should be to become the No 1 country in the world. Why should we settle for less when we know we have the talent, vigour and the requisites to reach there? The only thing which we lack is THE WILL: Both political and public will.
# We need to inculcate discipline in our lives. A disciplined society has no limits for progression and growth. Why are Army areas more better and organised than our Civil Areas. Discipline is the only reason. Army brings discipline by force and law. But do we as intelligent human beings , need that force to tell us to be disciplined. I am sure, if we are all disciplined from inside, we can show that even without force/law we Indians can be disciplined. We are disciplined in our respective homes but the moment we step out of our home boundaries we let loose. We forget what we follow at home. Don't we try to keep things in order in our house. We pay good attention to cleanliness, hygiene, discipline and affection in our homes but forget the moment we are out. Fellas! one thing you ought to remember is that India is your BIGGER HOME. If we follow the same rules of discipline in our BIGGER HOME we can be 100% sure of achieving the No 1 spot in the world.

you admit that you dont know the authenticity of this quote....so why do yo feature it in your otherwise so informative site.
Are you implying that the rogues gallery you present (and rogues they are)would never have emerged if not by some wicked design of the British. I'm not writing here in defence of the Raj, by any means, but I think you should use proven facts to support your case.
Your whole case tumbles when you rely on myths. As much evil is done in this way as by people who never make up their minds to be good or evil, I believe.
